Three wildly different gigs in a row,
~all right here in the east bay~
Experience the opportunity to become inducted into
The Cat Sweet Superfan Hall of Fame
by coming to all three shows!
HOW THE CATSWEETSTAKES SUPERFAN CONTEST WORKS:
STEP 1 Ask for your official "Cat Sweet Fest Pawprint Card" at the door on Thursday February 12th when you come to The Ivy Room for the Danse Danse Danse [DJ Zero Effs and I have concocted a deluxxe goth evening of dancing and decadence to tantilize all of your senses that you won't want to miss].
STEP 2: Don't forget your pawprint card when you go to ABRACANASTY at Eli's Mile High Club on Friday the 13th of February, immediately after I leave the stage, meet me at the merch table to get your 2nd pawprint - I am going to really want a cigarette, don't expect me to linger long.
STEP 3: Bring that pawprint card to The East Bay Rats Valentine's Day Massacre on Saturday February 14th! Find me [the earlier the better] to complete your card, in return you will be bestowed with your hard earned Cat Sweet Fan Club Official Super Fan lanyard with that limited edition badge, &we'll figure out how to get your bag of super Cat Sweet treats to ya later so none of us have to worry about it at the party since there's gonna be like, paper things, a mix tape, & who knowz wut else in dere.

All creatures of the night scurry from their abodes on Thursday February 12th and converge upon The Ivy Room for the danse danse danse. DJ Zero Effs is doing TWO EBM/Darkwave/Industrial danse sets, live music from local legends Ex Heir and Pink Stiletto, and seductively evil burlesque features from BB Wednesday, Rosa Robada, and yours truly.

PS If you buy presales, at the door you will be rewarded with a free pack of 6 buttons - one of each performer! Put them in your pocket for later or fan out and rep who you're there to see. Wow! So co0o0o0ool.

Friday February 13th it's Abracanasty - a whole new thing with haute burlesque and a real deal magician that's been on TV and stuff. Hosted by Franzia Rose, shimmy thru the first half of the evening with Ferral Faucet, Vaudie Vaboom, and, of course, me. We'll have a nice intermission, then make sure to get back in for Sean Francisco! There's never been a magician at Eli's before I hear. It's like, a big deal. There's going to be chairs! For people! To sit in!!! WOW! Also limited VIP tables available if you a high roller $$$

7PM Saturday February 14th at Victory Stables: celebrate love with the East Bay Rats. Nothing says romance like music, ass shaking, smoking, and fighting. A truly beautiful, and deeply Oakland thing. My best friend Piss Pony is playing too! Wow! Love!

in case that wasn't
enough information...
After being smothered by my presence in 2011, Arcata found itself without a Cat Sweet in sight for a whopping FIFTEEN YEARS. Wednesday, February 25th I make my long awaited return at The Wild Hare. Has everyone forgotten about me? Doubtful. But if you do remember, go ahead forget everything you know except for the violence. She's grown up a lot since she was pictured in the book "Legendary Locals of Arcata". Get ready, the bay's favorite bad dream artist is taking a peek back behind the redwood curtain. Did u miss me?

AS SEEN IN THE SF CHRONICLE

"And then there was sideshow artist Cat Sweet, who awoke in the manner of the bride of Frankenstein to perform a macabre ritual and visit carnage upon the stage: pouring a berry-colored liquid on herself and on dog dishes full of dry ice, only to start stapling playing cards to her abdomen, breasts, cheeks and forehead and searing her face with the sparks from an angle grinder (the power tool of the night, evidently). Never let naysayers and ignoramuses tell you that Bay Area theater is all tidy and safe, elitist and politically correct. At the Ruckus and Rumpus Revival, the marker of success is how far on the limb of your own originality you’re willing to go."-Lily Janiak
